Safe Driving

About Safe Driving

This special awareness event is an opportunity for youth and adults to learn good traffic safety behaviors that lead to safer, more competent road users. Activities include using marijuana and alcohol goggles to simulate impaired driving.

Participants work to complete activities that challenge their coordination, problem solving, short term memory and concentration.  Activities include completing a maze, playing Connect 4, pedal carts obstacle course, and sobriety test floor mats.

Participants learn how alcohol and marijuana use can impact their ability to safely drive in a number of ways.

Law enforcement officers are on hand during the event to talk about the consequences of impaired driving.
