Where does Green County Prevention Partnership get its funding?

Since 2016, Green County Prevention Partnership (then Better Brodhead) has received funding from local, regional, state, and federal sources to carry out prevention-focused projects throughout Green County. The coalition’s Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and guidance for these initiatives.

Federal grant awards are managed by Green County Prevention Partnership’s fiscal agent, Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program, Inc. (SWCAP), which also serves as the employer of record for the coalition’s staff members. The Program Director leads grant implementation and regularly reports progress to the Board and funders. Each remaining staff member is responsible for executing specific activities outlined within individual grants.

A majority of the funding received is restricted, requiring it to be used for designated purposes, projects, or timeframes specified by the funder. Donations may be either restricted or unrestricted, depending on the donor’s intent. Unrestricted contributions are generally allocated toward youth programs, event-related meals, and school supplies.
