Help strengthen our community by joining the Green County Prevention Partnership Coalition
Coalition Interest Form
Green County Prevention Partnership (then Better Brodhead) became a Drug Free Coalition in 2016 when it was awarded its first Drug Free Communities grant.
A coalition is a group of people from different sectors of the community that come together for a shared purpose. These sectors include educators, law enforcement, businesses, faith community, parents, youth, media, youth serving organizations, government agencies, civic organizations, health professionals, and other agencies that work with substance abuse.
Green County Prevention Partnership engages these members to address youth alcohol and other drug use by targeting the issues that put youth at risk for substance use such as mental health issues, bullying at school, easy access to alcohol, providing education and training, support and resources and youth activities.
Green County Prevention Partnership uses the Strategic Prevention Framework to identify and address local substance use problems. The focus our efforts is always guided by data that identifies what the specific problems are. Through data collection and analysis, Green County Prevention Partnership is able to plan and implement specific strategies that target local issues that lead to youth substance use.
